Why Learn to Swim
When my kids were younger it was imperative for me that my children learned to swim. I grew up as a child who did NOT know how to swim, and I hated missing out on all the water fun. More importantly, kids play way too much, and I was afraid, no terrified of what someone may try to do “in fun”, that would kill me. I did finally learn to swim at 12 years old. I can’t tell you what a freeing experience it was and the feeling of accomplishment I felt to no longer be afraid of the water. I had a great instructor, and I am now confident in the water and so are both my sons. Whether you are 5 or 75 learning to swim is not just a life skill … It’s a life upgrade!
